TurboDocx Launches Open-Source Agent Skill, Letting Any AI Coding Tool Install the TurboDocx SDK in One Prompt

The TurboDocx Quickstart Skill bundles e-signature, partner management, and HTML-to-Word document generation into a single open install path across Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OpenCode, OpenAI Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI.

Jupiter, FL – May 11, 2026 – TurboDocx, the AI-native document automation platform, today released the TurboDocx Quickstart Skill, an open-source plugin that integrates with the major AI coding tools to install the TurboDocx SDK and @turbodocx/html-to-docx into any project in a single prompt. The skill is available now at github.com/TurboDocx/quickstart under the MIT license.

A New Way to Distribute SDKs

The TurboDocx Quickstart Skill follows the open Agent Skills specification, which makes the same skill portable across every supported AI coding tool. Developers can install both skills in any project by running npx skills add TurboDocx/quickstart. The command auto-detects which agents are installed locally and places the skill in the correct configuration directory.

Out of the box the skill works with:

  • Claude Code (Anthropic's official terminal-native agent)
  • GitHub Copilot in VS Code
  • Cursor
  • OpenCode (the open-source agent framework)
  • OpenAI Codex CLI
  • Gemini CLI

“The first reader of SDK docs in 2026 is increasingly not a person — it's an agent,” said Nicolas Fry, Founder and CEO of TurboDocx. “Documentation that explains how something works is necessary but no longer sufficient. We wanted to ship the install process, not just the install page. The Quickstart Skill is the practical answer to that: a portable package of instructions, references, and detection logic that any compliant agent can run.”

Two Skills in One Package

The Quickstart Skill ships two distinct workflows:

  • turbodocx-sdk — installs the TurboDocx SDK and generates working TurboSign (e-signature) and TurboPartner (multi-tenant organization management) integration code. Supports JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, PHP, and Java across frameworks including Express, Next.js, Fastify, NestJS, FastAPI, Flask, Django, Spring Boot, Laravel, Gin, and Echo.
  • turbodocx-html-to-docx — sets up @turbodocx/html-to-docx for HTML-to-Word document conversion in both Node.js and browser environments. The skill prefers server-side generation by default and falls back to the bundled IIFE build for static HTML pages or the ESM build for client-side bundlers.

Why It Matters for Builders

For developers, the skill collapses the cost of trying a new SDK to a single prompt. The agent reads the user's project, detects the language and framework, installs the package with the project's package manager, writes environment variables to .env and .env.example, and generates a working route handler that matches existing code patterns. For platform teams evaluating e-signature or document generation, that means a real working integration in minutes instead of an afternoon.

“If you ship an SDK in 2026, an Agent Skill is the new minimum,” Fry added. “We've open-sourced ours so other teams can fork it as a reference for their own.”
